The community benefits of the hub programme reach for beyond the high-quality facilities that we deliver across the region. Every one of our projects integrates a plan to support and enhance the local community. We do this by creating opportunities through social value and economic growth.
We use the Social Value portal measurement model that links directly into the Scottish Government’s National Performance Framework. We work in collaboration with our clients to set appropriate social value targets for each project.
Last year, 52% of hub contracts were awarded to territory based SMEs. Our focus on local employment and developing skills created 10 jobs and and 30 work placements with 1,110 apprenticeship weeks on site.
Dulloch Park
As part of the project to deliver the new Dunfermline Leaning Campus, BAM Construction installed two cabins at Duloch park for use by local community groups involved in wildlife and environment, gardening, litter picking, art and wellbeing.

Build Fife
The hub team collaborated with Fife Council, BAM Construction and other contractors to create the Build Fife initiative. Aimed at supporting the growth ambitions of local businesses in the construction and associated sectors, it marked a new milestone in the economic development of Fife.
