HUBCO CHOOSES HAVEN PTS FOR PPE
Hub East Central Scotland recently took delivery of 50 new fleece jackets from Larbert based ‘supported business’ Haven PTS.
The new fleeces are all branded with the Hub East Central Scotland’s logo and will be issued to staff to wear when they are visiting the various construction projects that are being delivered by hubco across the region.
A proud supplier on the Scottish Government’s supported businesses framework, Haven PTS plays a vital role in providing quality, competitively priced goods and services to the public sector.
The company now employs over fifty staff and more than 90% of the workforce is made up of people with a disability.
Gary Bushnell, Chief Executive, Hub East Central Scotland Ltd, said:
“We always procure from locally based suppliers wherever possible and are committed to working with supported businesses. Haven PTS demonstrated that they had the expertise to meet our needs for additional protective clothing.
“Everyone is really pleased with the design and quality of the fleeces, which are invaluable for our project managers, who are constantly out and about on sites as they ensure the delivery of major projects across the region.”
Jamie Lawson, General Manager, Haven PTS, said:
“The team in Larbert are delighted with the opportunity to supply fleeces to Hub East Central Scotland and also meet with members of the Hub team during their factory visit. We hope that as a result of this order, other opportunities to quote for work from the Hub network of businesses in Scotland are received here at Haven PTS and the other supported businesses in Scotland. Supported businesses in Scotland play a vital role in today`s society providing sustainable training and work opportunities for disabled and disadvantage people”
